Jon and I have decided to be a bit more adventurous when it comes to home-cooked meals. It turns out that there’s a lot of different foods out there and deciding what to try first is really tough. The approach we’ve decided to take is to take an untried spice and use it to cook […]
When we went to Colorado for Christmas my parents had homemade soy milk. It tasted just like soy milk from a Singaporean hawker stall and I decided I had to have it again once we returned to Seattle. It’s not all that hard to make actually. It’s way cheaper than store bought soy milk too. […]
Well, once again we’ve let our blogging slip. For Easter we made these cute cookies! Jon did most of the work, rolling out the dough and actually cutting out the shapes. Then I sprinkled the colored sugar on. In one of our recipe books we found out you can make your own colored suger by […]

Jon was hoping it’d be like a cinnomon gelato he had at Cinzetti’s in Colorado. It was still yummy even though it only made 1/2 as much as your average ice cream recipe.
Last Monday we made these bagels for FHE http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Bread-Machine-Bagels/Detail.aspx They came out great! The bagels were a lot easier to make than anticipated. Even though the recipe says it’s specifically for bread machines you would be able to make them by hand (it’d just take a lot longer). Once the dough was done all we […]
