Jon and I have blogged about this place in the past, but we went there last night and had another great experience.  We go there because they take the resturant.com coupons that you can get online sometimes for dirt cheap.  This time we got a small meat nacho appetizer, it was sooooo yummy and huge!!!  […]

Kayaking to miss seeing whales~

Kayaking to miss seeing whales~

A couple of weeks ago, Jon and I went with my group of interns to the San Juan Islands.  We got to try sea kayaking for the first time!  When we booked the trip our main reason for going was to see whales, but we weren’t so lucky.  We saw a bunch of other things […]

Over Memorial Day week we went on a really great trip to the East coast!  We visited our new baby niece (super super cute) and saw the sites around the area.  Man, it’s so easy getting around the East coast, things are so close together! We got in pretty late the Saturday before Memorial Day, […]

Well, once again we’ve let our blogging slip.  For Easter we made these cute cookies!  Jon did most of the work, rolling out the dough and actually cutting out the shapes.  Then I sprinkled the colored sugar on.  In one of our recipe books we found out you can make your own colored suger by […]

We kept seeing on slickdeals an offer by restaurant.com where you can get $25 gift certificates for $2.  We were hesitant to try this at first, but Eileen generously gave us a restaurant.com gift certificate.  We decided to use it to go to Santa Fe Mexican Grill. When we walked in, we were impressed by […]

Building an igloo

Published by jon on March 16, 2009 | 2 Responses

Last weekend, I went with my scout troop to Alpental at Snoqualmie.  We got up there at about 11am, which was good because we spent about 5-7 hours building the igloos.  We used ice saws to cut out bricks, which we used for walls.  There were five of us sleeping in our igloo, so that […]
