I spent the next few days mostly at work during the day, but I did get to see a few cool things. The Skype offices are in this magnificent building. Pretty fancy stuff!
After work on day 3 I went to check out Harrod’s, this fancy shopping mall. Each room had different décor. My favorite room was the candies and tea room. Mostly for the candy, obviously. The toy department was pretty cool too. In general the merchandise was a bit out of my price range, but if I ever need a giant teddy bear soldier I’ll know where to get it.
That night I ate at my first Michelin rated restaurant. It was this cozy French place around the corner from my hotel. Yum yum!
The next night I went to go and see Wicked (the musical). It was excellent! Poor Jon has been dealing with me humming and singing the tunes ever since. The theater was right next door to a giant train station. I learned a lesson I should have learned a long time again. Eating sushi in a non-Japanese train station is never a good idea.
I’m happy that I got to see a few things even though I was in the office during the day.
