My last day in London was great. I woke up early to revisit Westminster Abbey so I could see the inside. It was gorgeous, but too bad they didn’t allow any pictures on the inside.
I headed over to Borough Market after that to meet up with my cousin and we checked out all the gourmet food stands there and had tapas nearby! We also visited the Tate Modern Art Museum, which I didn’t really enjoy all that much. I just don’t get modern art.
I had some extra time so I decided to go and check out the natural history museum since I’d heard good things. Definitely some impressive stuff. The coolest thing was a meteor spec that’s supposedly older than Earth. They also had these crazy taxidermy displays like one with hundreds of species of birds.
I liked the displays, but once again the building itself was my real favorite. It was so detailed, even in the less traveled parts. There were monkeys climbing the arches, shellfish on the pillars. It was extremely impressive.
I decided to walk through Hyde Park on the way home. I hope I get to spend more time there in the future when the weather is better.
My last stop was Paddington Station. Talk about busy! Of course I had to get a Paddington Bear and I avoided all forms of sushi. I took the Heathrow Express out to a hotel near the airport and that was pretty much the end of my London adventure!
