Two weekends ago we headed downtown to join in on the Chinese New Year celebrations. There were so many people there it took us forever to find a parking spot. Right after we parked we passed by a few stores that were preparing for lion dancing. They were hanging up lettuce with red envelopes and you could hear the drums playing. We stuck around and saw the lion dancing up close. There were a lot of other activities going on through out the area. We grabbed lunch at Uwajimaya. They had some kung-fu presentations and also some taiko drumming. The grand finale was a huge lion dance act with tons of fire crackers.
