Strawberries are a bit weird and temperamental, they’re like the “primadonnas” of fruit. They don’t usually bud fruit the first year, and if they do, it’s not that good. (see number 11: http://www.ehow.com/how_2000_grow-strawberries.html) The good thing is that you don’t have to worry about slugs or squirrels coming by and eating up the fruit.

Cool! I have a tiny watermelon plant growing next to my cubicle. I planted it after spitting out seeds from lunch into a random cup. I hope mine grows too!
